I've survived 7 years post breast cancer. Here is a card I made for survivor sisters....
I received a big thank you goodie basket from General Mills, thanking us for being Pink Together Ambassadors on Cheerios and other packaging last year, and introduced us to the next 5 survivors who are on the boxes this year....we are blessed!
MFT "Think Pink" stamps, watercolors, A Muse & SU ribbon, watercolor paper, prima flowers, stardust pen
She's back!
I made this card last year, and it got trumped by the kids card and newsletter, so I made a plethora to send out this year.
A Muse Igloo, parka girl, all is calm stamps, and A Muse background paper.
Igloo girl & igloo are shaded with Copics, then puff paint in her furry jacket parts, stickled snowflakes, hills are watercolor paper with snow glitter and shading with pearly chalks for warm doorway :)
I pulled out some of the older stamps for a try at pumpkin-flavored cards...and this is what came of it.
The truck is actually a burnt red, but it is hard to see in the shot. Prismacolor pencils for all coloring.
I used A Muse birch trees, pumpkin truck and U-pick, then some shimmering pearls and Pearl powder for the moon, Stardust pen for moonlit branches and leaves, black Sakura gel for the tires, silver Sakura for the bumpers/rims, and A Muse black organza ribbon for the 'road'.
Darn it!
I 'had' to use my craft store coupon, and when the item I wanted (an Iris photo sorter) was on sale already, I had to find a new item....I found "Paper Bouquet" by local author Susan Tierney Cockburn.
Now it contains the most gorgeous paper punch flowers, and finding the punches is like a treasure hunt...yaaaargh. That was said with pirate panache.
Like I need new product? not.
BUT it's so fun, and the flowers are so pretty, perfect for covering journals and Ikea paper boxes for holiday gifts.
My card for the challenge @ A Muse Lounge :)
"Spring is in the air"
Well, it is taking it's sweet time around here...the bulbs are peeking through the SNOW.
My dearest helped me with this one too - he suggested the ducks go swimming.
So I made them a little window with the scallop blade on the cutter, vellum and stickled the waves.
I like that they swim and when open, strut along the grass.
Lately I've been using my waterbrush on everything with watercolor pencils - the water being in the pen is so EASY, and portable ;)
The paper piercing, flower and highlights are all edged with the Stardust glitter, but it's hard to see in these shots.
Very subtle shimmer IRL.
Come play!

Jessie is the original and best at adorable cupcake images...she recently did art for the new stamp line of Taylored Expressions
These are the customs she did for me that I am not only displaying on my walls, but making into T-shirts for fellow survivors/walkers as well!
I adore these, and will treasure them forever, thanks Jessie! You rock!
As the swaps at SCS indicate....
Here's my playtime evolving.
Starting clockwise from upper right... began with Prismacolor markers, too bold, less gradient. Moved to lighter colors, nah...need subtle...Changed to Prismacolor pencils, blending with color groups and white...like much better.
Glitter, Stickles & Souffle pen.
